March 2012 - LPCB 1175 GRP Housings & GRP Doors
Kingsley Plastics are proud to announce the full approval and certification for a range of GRP Housings and standalone GRP Single and Double Door sets to Security Rating 2 and Security Rating 3.
Kingsley Plastics Ltd are Europe's FIRST & ONLY Certified GRP manufacturing company to have designed, tested and certified a wide range of GRP Housings, GRP Kiosks and GRP Enclosures complete with, most notably, fully certified single & double GRP Doors. Once again Kingsley Plastics Ltd are the industry leaders in GRP design having their own in-house manufactured GRP Doors certified to SR2 & SR3 which in turn complement the range of GRP Housings, as opposed to having the need to use the only previously certified solution of the vastly higher price steel door sets.
Mike Turner, Kingsley's Design Manager stated: 'Our full certification for GRP Products including GRP Doors once again places us at the forefront of delivering equally certified security products, far more cost effectively than conventional steel manufactureers, including other GRP suppliers of whom can only use steel for their doors'. Mike continues 'GRP Doors provide vast benefits over conventional steel doors not only due to their price, but also due to GRP offering increased levels of insulation as well as being far more environmentally friendly to produce'.

December 2011 - Purchase of New Production Facility
Due to our continued growth & expansion with the UK's Utility & Industrial markets and increasing order levels, Kingsley Plastics Ltd are pleased to announce the opening of a completely new moulded production facility.
Designed specifically for the manufacture and production of Kingsley's new range of Security Rated LPCB SR2 & SR3 GRP Enclosures (once certification is received) alongside our expansion into the manufacturing of smooth moulded gloss GRP Housings, this latest addition adds to the already large scale production of GRP Housings & Odour Control Covers within the UK & the wider world.
Occupying approximately 8,000 sq ft of additional manufacturing capability Kingsley are once again looking into the future of the growing market place for their products. Mark Manley, Director of Kingsley Plastics Ltd stated 'with our continued growth into new markets and the ability to offer ground breaking new designs, we are determined to continue our excellent record of continued expansion at a time when others in our field of manufacturing are declining'.

May 2011 - Northern Gas Networks
Award of major new Framework Agreement
Kingsley Plastics are pleased to announce the award of a major 3 year GRP Housing framework from Northern Gas Networks Limited. The contract itself has initially been let for 3 years commencing in May 2011 and will include for the design, manufacture, delivery and optional installation of a wide range of GRP Housings, Doors and Roofs with each housing having an Explosion Relief Roof as standard. The range of individually sized units includes a standard finish of Kingsley’s own Anti-Vandal heavy duty ‘Textured’ finish along with other optional external finishes including simulated Brick, Stone and pebbledash finishes.
Covering the whole of the Northern Gas Networks operating region Kingsley Plastics will also delivering and installing the complete range of GRP Housings with the aid of the industry’s sole fleet of company owned hi-ab equipped 40’ articulated lorry’s. Kingsley are pleased to have once again won a prestigious framework agreement from such a renowned and reputable company as Northern Gas Networks.
This latest contract comes quickly on the heels of others similar framework agreements recently awarded to Kingsley Plastics including Scotia Gas Networks, Scottish & Southern and Wales & West Utilities in the Gas Industry, plus other similar awards from Electricity North West, Wessex Water and the Tyco Group.

Award of a Major New Framework Contract:
Kingsley Plastics are pleased to announce the award of a major 3 year GRP Substation Housing framework from Electricity North West Limited. The contract itself will initially be for 3 years commencing in February 2011 and will include the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of a range of GRP Substation Housings complete with Explosion Relief Roofs as standard.

January 2011 - Scottish & Southern Energy Plc
Award of a New 3 Year Contract:
Commencing January 1st 2011 Scottish & Southern Energy Plc and Scotia Gas Networks have rewarded Kingsley Plastics for their excellent service of the past 2 years with a new 3 year contract for the design, manufacture & delivery of Gas Meter Boxes and Gas Cabinets.
Initially covering the next 3 years the contract also has 2 x 1 year extensions that can be applied on top of the initial 3 year contract thus giving a prospective total contract length of 5 years.
Kingsley Plastics Ltd are the market leaders in the design & manufacture of all forms of GRP Housing solutions for the UK's Gas & Electricity industries and currently hold a number of prestigious sole supply contracts within these sectors.

December 2010 - Purchase of Absolute GRP Ltd:
Kingsley Plastics Ltd is pleased to announce the outright purchase and ultimate re-naming of GRP Direct Ltd based in the county of Somerset. Originally formed under its previous name some 15 years ago with an expert knowledge of GRP product manufacturing including all forms of high gloss mouldings, the group holds strong alliances also to the GRP Kiosk, GRP Housing, Odour Control Covers and boat building manufacturing industries.
The company itself will be renamed Absolute GRP Ltd and be under the express control and supervision of Kingsley Plastics Ltd. In addition to its already busy workforce Absolute GRP will be employing additional staff and labour in order to concentrate upon the UK's water industry in providing cost effective GRP moulded solutions to meet even the most challenged of budgets.
Kevin Down, Kingsley's group managing Director has taken the opportunity of thanking all of GRP Direct's staff for the year’s service in building a truly reputable company and in turn looks forward to creating a far larger group with a range of products tailored to our customers’ needs.
Absolute GRP Ltd current products, including their own in-house designed range of moulded GRP Roadside Cabinets and Walk-in Housings will further compliment and add a full range of moulded housings to the already extensive range of heavy duty walk-in building systems currently manufactured by Kingsley Plastics Ltd.
20th May 2010 - Extension of Contracts:
Both Scottish & Southern and Scotia Gas Networks have rewarded Kingsley Plastics with a contract extension for the supply of GRP Gas Governor Housings. Originally based upon a 2 year framework directive for the design, manufacture & delivery of GRP Housings & Meter Boxes, this contract extension provides further evidence of Kingsley's work towards complete customer satisfaction.

12th May 2010 - Muirhall Windfarm Contract Award:
Kingsley Plastics are proud to announce that we have been awarded a contract for the design & manufacture of GRP Windfarm Substation Housings. The Muirhall Windfarm Project is based in Northern Scotland. The design of each sub-station housings was specifically tasked with the location of each wind turbine, thus giving extreme hostile wind speeds along with some of the worst wind & rain storms the UK's coast line has to offer.
Kingsley were chosen after installing in excess of 100 such wind farm sub-station GRP housings across the UK and re-enforces Kingsley's pledge to, where possible, promote environmental solutions to our every day power needs.
