Following a ‘close call’ to a local resident a plea was made on social media platforms for donations towards the purchase of a new defibrillator. Upon seeing the request our Group Chairman, Kevin Down immediately jumped in and offered for Kingsley to purchase the unit for the benefit of all local residents.
This isn’t the first time Kingsley, who take their community social responsibility very seriously indeed, and of whom have contributed many previous times towards the local community with fund raising events including an annual Bonfire & Fireworks gala with all proceeds going to purchase sports equipment for the local junior school. Other such donations include building a GRP ‘Bus Shelter’ & raising money to help the ‘Young Achievers’ charity amongst others.
Pictured above is Kingsley’s Chairman Kevin Down presenting the defibrillator to local resident Janet Burgoyne, who deserves particular praise as without Janets campaign to bring the problem to everyones attention & attempt to raise the funds, it would never have happened. Also pictured are the South West Ambulance Service presenting local parish councillor Melanie Bickell with it of whom, without the Parish Council’s involvement the whole project would had likely stalled.
Well done to everyone involved for such a worthy cause!!
