Kingsley were charged not only the design of the complete works which included not only GRP Kiosks & Housings, but were also requested to install each unit within a 'live' industrial environment under full Health & Safety conditions.

Housing features included:

• Roller shutter safety/Anti-vandal doors
• Double glazed windows & doors
• Fully certified electrical wiring
• Air conditioning
• Forced ventilation
• Heavy duty anti-vandal exterior finish
• full design, manufacture & installation package

The above designs also needed to incorporate our heavy duty, non-fade 'textured' external finish design. This was chosen over & above the more standard moulded smooth semi-gloss finish as it has been proven that the heavy duty textured finish will not scratch, fade or be abused by UV (sun) light as the moulded options do. 

Anti Vandal GRP Substations

For the past 30 years, Kingsley Plastics Ltd have been the UK's largest suppliers of GRP textured or Simulated Briock & Stone GRP Substation housings. All of our buildings are manufactured with a typical guarantee of in excess of 15 years years with a life expectancy of well in excess of 30 years.

Coupled with simulated tile & slate roofs and all explosion relief, Kingsley units atre not only safe for inhabited areas but will also seemlessly blend into its natural background within the UK's mixture of natural parks.

Since its incorporation in 1977, Kingsley Plastics Ltd has been manufacturing GRP Housings of all sizes for the UK's Industrial Gas Industry. During this time Kingsley have set many new 'firsts' for GRP products within the industry including:

• Explosion Relief Roofs independantly tested & certified
• UK's first video capture of the above Explosion tests
• Simulated Brick & Stone finishes
• Anti-Vandal external Textured finishes
• Smooth washable internal walls

As a company, we were the first in the UK to manufacture a mass produced GRP Housing complete with an independantly tested & certified Explsion Relief Test. In turn all current UK specifications now reflect this test as the standard by which all must follow. The test as covered by IGE/TPS/8 & PRS 35 all fully encompass a fully tested, and certified Explosion Releif test.
